About Me

I’m Kit,  founder of Dao Ananda and host of The Modern Taoist podcast. I have a degree in Eastern Philosophy and for over 15 years, I studied Taoist philosophy, QiGong, and meditation with Taoist Master Zhou Daoxuan. My journey into Taoist practice began long before I ever thought of teaching — and it started with a broken leg.

After an accident left my leg broken in three places, traditional rehab wasn’t working. I was frustrated, in pain, and losing hope. Master Zhou began teaching me QiGong for healing — slow, intentional movements that rebuilt my strength, restored my mobility, and quieted the mental stress that had been just as damaging as the injury itself.

Over time, Taoist practice became more than recovery. It became a way of living — grounded, aware, and in rhythm with nature. Through QiGong, breathwork, and Taoist living principles, I learned that health isn’t just about the body; it’s about how you move through the world.

I left the practice for a time, because the challenges of the world distracted and moved me in a wrong direction - but The Tao doesn't care about what you did or will do. It simply is. And I returned.

Today, I share these practices through online lessons, private instruction, and The Modern Taoist podcast, making ancient wisdom practical for modern life. Whether you’re here to improve your health, find balance, or reconnect with nature, Dao Ananda is a place to begin — no experience required.

Because Taoism isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who you already are.
